Cub Scouts

Cub Scouts is for boys and girls aged from 8 years to 11 years

Cub Scouts meet at our Den on Wednesday nights from 6.30 – 8.00 pm, under the supervision of trained Leaders. Special activities and camps are organised by the Leaders each term. A term is the same as for schools and no Cub Scouts is held during school holidays.

The Cub Scout program is specifically designed to meet the developmental needs of 7.5 to 10.5 year old children, providing the opportunity for young people to develop and grow as individuals and as members of a team. Cub Scout Activities are planned to cover a broad range of interests and topics to trigger the imagination and curiosity, and to meet their developmental needs. Cub Scouts is all about fun, development and non-stop play. Typical activities include:

  • Cooking
  • Badge work
  • Water safety
  • Handcraft activities
  • Short camping trips
  • Organising team games
  • Pack holidays and sleep-overs
  • Activities such as water and air
  • Going on outings and nature trails
