Joey Scouts


Joey Scouts is for boys and girls aged from 6 years to 8 years

Joey Scouts meet at our Den on Tuesday nights from 6.00 – 7.00 pm, under the supervision of trained Leaders. Special activities and camps are organised by the Leaders each term A term is the same as for schools and no Joey scouts is held during school holidays. For Joey Scouts, life is an exciting adventure and it’s all about FUN, FUN, FUN. They explore the wider world, which stimulates their imaginations and develops their skills in team work. Typical activities include:

  • Playing new games
  • Learning new songs
  • Learning about Scouting
  • Going on exciting outings
  • Learning how to make things
  • Storytelling, miming, and acting
  • Going on nature and outdoor activities
  • Joining in sleep-overs and mob holidays

joeyJoey’s Uniform

The Joey uniform is a dark blue Scout pattern incorporating the Scouts Australia logo with short sleeves and collar. The collar, yoke and outside of sleeves are tan in colour. As is the scout tradition, Joeys wear a maroon scarf and woggle when on parade and at special scout activities.
